India’s most exhilarating summer party has already begun with the biding of The Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL is always celebrated on a large number, especially in India since its inception. The IPL auction for 2020 took place on December 19 2019, and it’s already 2020. It took place in Kolkata this year, however, usually, it takes place in Bangalore, but last year it took place in Jaipur and this year in Kolkata.

He was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for a sum of ₹15.50 crores. This sum is higher than what was paid to Ben Stokes one season. Ben Stokes was sold for ₹14.5 crores in 2017 IPL. This way he broke the record and became the most expensive player of IPL auction 2020.
Pat Cummins is a right-arm fast Aussie bowler who is having an outstanding record. He is expected to play very well this season. This 26-year-old Aussie has laterally had 92 T20 wickets from just 76 games was shown interest by Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Maxwell is the star of the IPL game. He has shown his skills to be most useful in times of trouble. This Australian all-rounder was sold at the auction for ₹10.5 crores to Kings XI Punjab. He was sold very much higher than his base price. He has never failed to surprise the audience. He has a lot of experience as he has played 251 T20 matches with 5589 runs at a strike of 154.94 runs. He has taken a total of 85 wickets too with the help of his off-spin.
Chris Morris: Royal Challengers Bangalore
This South African all-rounder had a total chance to be a valuable player since his performance until today. Royal Challengers Bangalore took this hard-hitting yet all-rounder bowler for a whopping sum of ₹ ten crores. Firstly, he had bids from Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Later on, when it was close to being sold, Mumbai Indians jumped in and made a bid of 7.5 crores, but Royal Challengers Bangalore seemed to be very firm on having Morris in their team and bid for ten crores in the end.
Sheldon Cotrell: Kings XI Punjab
This West Indies fast bowler was taken at a bid of 8.5 crore rupees. He attracted bids from various teams like Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, and Delhi Capitals. He picked up three wickets in three games and has an economy under eight, which attracted him this high bid.
His T20 performance is beyond impressive. He took 117 wickets in just 83 matches at 19.08. He seems to be getting better with his nasty short balls and surprising slow balls.
Nathan Coulter-Nile: Mumbai Indians
No doubt that Aussies have become an attraction for bidders in IPL 2020. Just like others, Nathan an Australian bowler, was taken home at a bid of 8 crore rupees by Mumbai Indians. Australians overlooked the upcoming ODI tour of India. However, he turned out to be the attraction in the IPL 2020.
The teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore were attracted to the bid for him. However, in the end, Mumbai Indians were successful in grabbing this marvellous player. He has taken 36 wickets from just 26 matches at a fair economy rate of 7.66. The Aussies have a massive chance of showing their skills this season.
Shimron Hetmyer: Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals sign Simon Hetmyer for a total of 7.75 crore rupees. He had scored the highest run against India in the T20I series. He scored 120 in 3 matches at a strike rate of 151.89.
Previously he plated fro Royal Challengers Bangalore and had been performing very well. Last year he did not attract any reasonable sum. However, this season he showed off his skills and grabbed what he deserved.
Apart from the above players, there few more players that stole the limelight. For instance, Yashasvi Jaiswal was one of the stars for the Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals bought him for 2.4 crore rupees in the IPL auction of 2020. It’s his first time to play in the IPL.
The two sensational captains, Aron Finch and Eoin Morgan, was shown high interest by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders.
